This is a hands-on workshop using tar paper templates to make a teapot or pitcher or both, using soft clay slabs. Elaine will demonstrate her signature ripped up method of tearing up slabs, texturing the pieces,  and assembling them back into a sheet of clay. Using tar paper for support, this sheet will be assembled into a unique geometric form. Spouts, handles, and lids will be demonstrated so that the teapot and pitcher may be completed.
**Skill level: must have taken Elaine’s beginning slab workshop or have previous slab experience.

Inspiration will be drawn from noteworthy historical printmakers, including Wanda Gág, Hokusai, Toulouse-Lautrec and Mary Cassatt. SPRING PRINTMAKING with Brenda Berg 
Campers will be introduced to a variety of fun printmaking techniques using everything from foil to garden carrots and embroidery hoops while also learning to carefully consider compositional placement, rhythmic patterns, visual variety and stunning color choices. Inspiration will be drawn from noteworthy historical printmakers, including Wanda Gág, Hokusai, Toulouse-Lautrec and Mary Cassatt. Individual sketchbooks will complement projects through creative research, personal ideas, and visual reactions. Our young printmakers will take home beautiful artworks on paper and on textiles.
