PAINTED CANVAS FLOOR CLOTHS
September 11, 18, 25-taught by PAT DOMOGALLA. Canvas floor cloths are made of canvas, coated with white house paint and designed as desired with acrylics. Pat has original designs for you to use or you can create your own. These floor cloths are reminiscent of the old days when grandma had these great floor coverings on her floor. You can make yours look very modern or old fashioned. This project can be completed at home after it is started in class. After painting and drying, it needs about 6-7 coats of clear sealer to protect the canvas and design. Pat has had one in use for 12 years and it still looks like new and is easy to care for. Floor cloths may also be hung on a wall as art. The decorated canvas rug is approximately 20-24” wide and 30-32” long. A hexagonal shape can also me made, or a larger rectangular one, but the instructor needs advance notice. Supply list. Saturday mornings, 9:00-12:00. $50 for the class and $10 to the instructor for canvas and canvas preparation.*

Choose from a selection of already-primed pieces of furniture (lamps/shades, mirrors, chairs, small tables, vases, candlesticks, etc.), and discover how very rewarding this level of recycling can be!
